this is the best thai restaurant in the area, their red, yellow and green curry is very addictive (i live close by). Duck yellow curry is my favorite so far. If your in the area, you MUST try this place and you will not be disappointed. **thai ice tea + soup/salad + any curry + thai donut =~ $20

Extremely slow and inattentive service. Despite there being about 5 tables available and staff (probably family members, from reading the other reviews ), it took quite some time to be seated. It took several requests to get water. For some reason, the waiter first brought 2 sets of setups for 3 people, and then came back with a 3rd set but placed It on the other side of the table. It then took quite some time for our orders to be taken and then, by what looked to be the owner. His family members (kids?) didn't look particularly happy to be working there. The food was pretty standard Thai fare, but nothing especially tasty or interesting.

Good place but service was slow the whole time I was there. It wasn't busy at all either. Other than that, it was a nice place and the food was good and we left stuffed. Average sushi pricing.

as u can see the good reviews r almost 3 years old--was there last night and hard to believe they r still in business--any restaurant in boca that doesnt have excellent food and service is doomed!! and they will be soon----i first ordered water with no ice and green tea--got water with ice and tea WITHOUT spoon on table and NO sweeteners on table-so when i didnt see waitress again for awhile i had to flag down the front people to do it------when i got the "special" the chicken was dry.....andddddddd when the plate was removed they left the table dirty and i had to ask to wipe it off and when they did they did i only half way--yikes and yech!!! no more visits for me-too many other awesome places in boca

Appearance: They are located behind a Walgreens. So park behind the Walgreens and walk over. The owners are Thai but just like most of the Thai restaurants in Florida they also serve sushi. As you walk in you see a very clean and typical Thai restaurant. Service is their number one priority as you are seated before the door closes behind you. The service: Staff here is making sure you have everything you want and your drink will never be half full even during the lunch rush. The food: I love Thai food. I had the chicken curry lunch special with a Thai coffee and a salad. Thai coffee has to be strong, sweet and delicious. This Thai coffee reminds me of the same formula and brand that my wife's grandma (she is Laos) uses. So thumbs up on that. The attention to detail is second to none. Even with the free water they gave me a little twisted up heart coiled around the straw. The rice was pressed into a flower, jasmine rice of course. And the spring roll was perfectly crunchy and not oily. Will I come back here. Duh...

Surprisingly good! The decor leaves something to be desired but true foodies know that often a hole-in-the-wall beats uppity ambiance any day. I had the combination Shrimp Panang Curry with vegetable soup and a spring roll. I ordered the curry spicier and it was excellent. The vegetable soup was fresh and light, the spring roll was nice and hot and crispy, and the Panang Curry was spicy and rich with the perfect ratio of shrimp, noodles, sauce and veggies. The rice came in a cute heart shape - sort of a sweet touch on our date. I would definitely go back!!

Small family run restaurant. Very friendly service and beautiful food presentation. Conveniently located if you're going to see a movie at Shadowood theater. Fresh sushi and a large selection of Thai, Chinese and Japanese food. Flavorful without being too hot & spicy.

This place was really just okay. Food-wise, we were happy. The sushi rolls were on point. I had a spider roll, and it was big and crunchy and glorious. The sake was good as well. The food is what got the rating so high. This place is located in a strip mall, and it's dirty. My allergies went wild in this here. I don't know if it's dust or mold or mildew, but whatever it is, I spent the whole meal sneezing and blowing my nose. Lastly, the service was crap. The sushi chef was nice, but the waitresses and waiters were the worst. Probably never coming back here because there are too many sushi options for this crap!

We spend winters in the west Boca area and are regulars at Hashi Thai and Sushi. We have never had a bad meal. We have gone with friends who were equally pleased. My husband sticks with the Pad Thai dinner special which he gives high marks. Tonight I had the spicey lemongrass seafood soup. A bit sharp but chock full of seafood with a strong lemongrass flavor and subtle hints of cilantro. Very tasty. Also ordered basil pork in which they substituted broccoli for green pepper at my request. Enjoyed it immensely. The staff is always accommodating. It is a family run operation with Mom managing the dining room ably assisted by her son and daughter who we have watched grow up over the years. Gotta say I would love to redecorate the dining room. A bit dingy but clean and comfortable. In sum, this is a down-to-earth, unBoca restaurant with very good Thai food and fresh sushi. It enjoys a loyal following and that speaks volumes.

This place is fine if you're just looking to satisfy your Thai food or sushi craving. The menu is very large, and the lunch specials are vast. They offer lunch specials 7 days per week that end up being a pretty good deal in terms of volume of food, but plan on spending $10-$12/person even if choosing a special. While the sushi was as expected, the service was quite slow, yet my husband and I were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. That seemed odd. Nevertheless, if I'm in this strip mall again and craving sushi, I'll pop in!

I found a piece of hair in my sushi the response was from the waitress was " oh don't worry it's only that piece." When the other waiter came over to see, he responded " you'll live." I was in utter shock that they felt its was nothing because it was hair. (which you can plainly see it came from the cook.) therefore, if you don't mind hair, roaches, and God knows what else, enjoy. Very dirty spot.

Another place I have been frequenting from when I was a teenager. There seem to be a lot of mixed reviews, so Im going to try to break it down realistically. For one, it is extremely convenient location-wise, if you live in the west boca area. That being said, its a very "neighborhood" place, as in I would not go out of my way to order from here if I was across town. For one, the place is obviously family run, in a good way, ( I know Ive enjoyed seeing their various children throughout the years) and they're always friendly, though their english is limited. As for the FOOD: No dispute, the food is always fantastic, 5 stars, easy! Just to clarify, I'm not one of these "california rolls and miso soup" "sushi eaters". l like trying different dishes every time, ordering what seems interesting or appealing and something traditional (of the cuisine). Their menu is pretty wide, with many traditional thai dishes. I can't knowledgeably comment on the authenticity of the food, but the flavors are definitely satisfying. The prices are comparatively low to other sushi restaurants. I tend to order "tapas" style- this can be done quite affordably here, even with sake. Sure the interior is....lackluster. And the strip mall location isn't grand, but it could be worse. Theres always easy parking and the interior is small in an intimate way, reminiscent of a new york city hole in the wall, that serves really good food.

This "hole in the wall" restaurant is one of my favorite places for Thai food and sushi appetizers. My favorite is a bit cliche, but I recommend the pad thai with shrimp. Generous portions and friendly staff. This place really focuses on the details without damaging your wallet. Even the straws for your water beverages are hand folded in the shape of a heart. Make sure you save room for desert because the Thai donuts are worth every calorie! Amazing! They are drizzled in a sugar glaze that will leave you licking the plate.

I was skeptical at first but I like it :) Of course I had to get their thai ice tea. I had beef pad see-ew which is flat rice noodles with eggs, veggies, beef, etc. The veggies were cooked the way I liked it: cooked but still crunchy. The noodles and beef were a little on the salty side so if you guys have high cholesterol or on a sodium diet, I recommend telling the server to make sure they go easy on the salt. Overall, it was a good meal.

I love this place! I come here very often and everything I've ever had has been delicious. Eel roll and the garlic chicken are some of my favorites. Went with local friends and did the happy hour menu. I wasn't impressed. The waiter was slow, and for only having a few tables in the place we were constantly flagging him down. Food wise, I've definitely had better sushi. I've had a challenge finding quality sushi in Florida. It's either fried fried fried, or plain old boring. At the end of my dining experience here, I left hungry and still searching for "the" sushi spot in this state.

The food is so 'meh'. And also not a good value. The sushi rolls were way over priced- most $11 or more- $7 for a California roll. Also I asked the waiter for a tempura chicken for my 4 year old and they brought out a $15 tempura platter. The combinations are $17 just to include a little soup or a tiny salad and a dinky spring roll. The quality of the food is basically flavorless and just salty.

Sushi sells. Especially in areas with high per capita income. This is probably why Hashi Sushi and Thai has sushi, and probably why these reviews here are whining about the sushi, which I cannot imagine being very good. If it's a Thai place, get Thai food. No one would ever tell you to get a burger at a seafood restaurant, so don't get Japanese at a Thai place. I ordered the shrimp red curry, a family recipe the waitress told me, and I found it to be phenomenal. Full of flavor with a lovely thai coconut broth and a delicate taste of curry. Maybe I'm being a snob. Yeah, probably being a snob. But if you take my advice and order Thai food at a good Thai restaurant nestled between a Walgreens and a Hair Cuttery (who knew) with a big, stupid convenience store style "OPEN" flashy sign, you're gonna love it. Also, get the fried banana dessert. It's mashed bananas inside of a fried dumpling with caramel sauce. It's great! Oh and the waitress forgot about us, but frankly, I don't care. The service has to impact the quality of the food for me to actually deduct a star.

Tried this place Since I was in area. Lunchtime during the week 4 tables full & waitress took forever from start to finish. I had sushi, I only eat thai at Phuket thai - no one can compare to them. The salmon roll was okay, the Mexican roll had salad wrapped in it & a cucumber stick sticking out next to the shrimp tail. After eating, I asked waitress how come I didn't receive spicy tuna roll, she says their tuna is light pink in color & asked chef, he said he gave it to me. Back & forth we yelled through the dining room as he swore their was spicy mayo inside & I shouldn't have eaten it all (I think they thought I was trying to get free meal, so at this point I'm insulted & mad that I'm paying for a meal that wasn't 100% what I ordered & told by chef/waitress that I'm wrong. ) there were 2 diners next to me that wanted brown rice instead of white & waitress said "no, we don't like to do that here" the proper response would be "sure but it will cost a little more". I won't go again, I'll stick to the lemongrass locations for sushi, they treat you better, prices are better & rolls are better.

I met a girlfriend yesterday 3-14-11 for a light lunch, but since it was going to be the ONLY meal I was having for the day, I opted to have the following: I started off with their Thai salad, but added crispy salmon skin and avocado slices on it. The salad itself comes with a couple of quartered tomato slices, (very ripe and juicy), cucumber slices, bean sprouts, carrot slices and nice crisp iceberg lettuce, some chunks, which I prefer. I opted for the Thai peanut dressing on the side which I dip from time to time. (I'm NOT a fan of dousing my salad in dressing). I then ordered an order of Ikura sashimi which for those that don't know, is salmon eggs that are like caviar to me. They are red in color and a bit salty, when they burst in your mouth as you eat them. They were presented so beautifully in hollowed out cucumbers. The order comes as two of them and they were plentifully filled cucumber shells. Yummy! I then decided to have a cup of their Chicken Coconut Soup which is offered on the menu in three sizes, the cup being the smallest and perfect for one person to enjoy. It comes plentiful with nice chunks of white chicken meat and a few straw mushrooms; which if you aren't familiar with them in Asian fare, look like little "umbrellas". I ask for the rice noodles to be put on the side which they bring hot on a plate so that when the bowl of soup gets lower from eating the chicken, I can add as desired. Simply delicious and can be made spicy to your liking. I, for one, prefer my food to be mild to just a slight "kick" if I'm feeling adventurous to doing so. My friend welcomed the sight of the salad that I ordered so, she ordered the same thing, but with Ginger dressing on the side. She began with a hand roll of crispy salmon skin, avocado slices and NO rice at all. You should have heard the "symphony" of crunching going on between her hand roll and my crunchy salmon skin salad....Just delicious! I have had other dishes here and enjoyed all of the preparation as well as presentation at this establishment. The owner and his wife are always friendly to new and regular customers and keep the restaurant neat and clean in appearance. I will continue to be a regular customer because of all of these complimentary features of this restaurant. It is nice to know that nearby, you can find a clean and comfortable place that serves two of my favorite dishes; Sushi and Thai food. Check it out! I am sure you will enjoy as I do regularly.

I went here last night expecting the lychee desert to be something... it was just 6 pieces of lychee that I could have got cheaper at any Asian market... such a rip-off! Disappointed and highly unrecommended! If their principle is to rip people off I am not coming back!

This is my absolute favorite place to get thai and sushi. My best friend and I eat here at least once a week. They're affordable, friendly, and the FOOD is always perfect. I've tried many sushi places in the Delray/Boca/Deerfield area, and this is hands down the best place to go for thai and sushi!

I've been here before and the food was great, and that is why the rating gets 2 stars instead of 1. Went here last Saturday night around 8:30. The place was crowded, but there were 4-5 empty tables. We waited 4 or 5 minutes for someone to come and seat us, while a young man sat at the counter two feet away and politely ignored us. Then, after being seated near a table occupied by the playing children of the proprieters, and with a television tuned to the Cartoon Network (moderately loud volume) we waited ten minutes for someone to come by and take drink or appetizer orders. No one having come, no water or anything, we left. I would probably go again if I were in the mood for Thai, but not on a weekend, and I would turn around if it looked more than half full.

This is one of my favorite places to go. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is a family run business and they work very hard to keep their customers happy. When you go there, you will notice that there are a lot of repeat customers- always a good sign. The sushi is nicely prepared and beautifully presented. The Thai dishes are excellent and they are very amenable to preparing dishes to your tastes- even to the point of making whatever you request, on or off menu! I have never had a bad experience in this restaurant and I highly recommend it. Some of my favorite dishes are the Tuna Tataki (appetizer), Chicken Ping Fire (spicy and not on menu), Shrimp Curry, and Squid Fried Rice (I ask for level 2 spiciness- they offer 1-4) and for sushi, I usually get the Tempura Salmon Roll, Tuna Deluxe Roll, or the Beauty and the Beast Roll. No matter what you order- you are probably going to say "wow" at some point- either the presentation or the taste will elicit it!

Have gone here twice. The thai food is good and so is the sushi (but not the best i've ever had). A family run place with somewhat slow service. good but could be so much better.

This place has the best Thai Iced Tea in Boca Raton! Their sushi presentation is beautiful and the place is very nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and don't forget to try the Pad Thai! Great even if you take it home and heat it up the next day!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Boca. The curry dishes here are awesome as is the Pad Thai. Also, their sushi is very very good--the seaweed as well as the other ingredients are very fresh. The prices are also very reasonable and the ambiance of the restaurant is nice too.
